The Dinner Train provides a unique and tasteful experience. Board the Dinner Train in Amsterdam
on our red carpet in front of the royal waiting room. Enjoy quality food combined with an
experience you will always talk about. The dinner experience consists of a 4 course menu inspired
on the route of the journey all prepared on board the train. Each course has a distinct connection
with the different city´s you will pass during the ride. It includes a sparkling welcome drink and
coffee or tea with your dessert.

The Dinner Train uses Amsterdam Central Station as its regular departure and arrival station.

" Wonderful evening experience "

I’ll start off by saying this is something I plan on doing again! Arrival went as smoothly as one could expect. Boarded the train and were greeted by the staff. Asked if I spoke English and was told they would come back after the initial announcement and explain everything to us. There was a slight change to the itinerary that they informed us about; however, this didn’t detract from the overall experience. All this was new to me so seeing the landscape at a slower pace (as opposed to blasting by it at 180km per hour) was just perfect. Dinner was truly wonderful. Very nicely paced. Great food and service. Dessert was the highlight. They were testing out something new and from my perspective, it was perfect. Presentation and taste came together perfectly to compliment the environment. The wait staff was both excellent and attentive. A great evening and wonderful experience.
" Poor Coordination "

We initially had reservation that were made through Hot Wire. We had need to cancel the initial date which we did in accordance with the cancellation Terms and Conditions. We then rebooked for 2 days later but could not rebook through Hot Wire. We then rebook ed through Amsterdam City Tours. We did not receive with our voucher a code to get through the gates at Amsterdam Central Train Station. After much difficulty, we gained entrance to the track areas. We were told the train would be on Track 7. When we got to Track 7, no Dinner Train. Finally, we saw on the train status monitors that the train would be on Track 5 with departure 22 minutes late. When we went to board, even though when had a voucher for Friday. 6 April, the Maitre d' did not have our reservation. Later, he told us that he had had a reservation for us on Wednesday, 4 April, which we had properly cancelled. Obviously, there is a serious break down between the vendors and the Dinner Train. We were allowed to go. The dining car was nicely appointed and the food presentation was good, it was not particularly good. It was what I would consider as OK.
