" Underwhelmed "
3 out of 5 stars
I was in Amsterdam a couple of years ago and did the same tour with my husband, but this time with my family. It was mediocre this time. 1-you cannot control the heat of the day, but the bus’ air was either busted or ineffective. Amsterdam was experiencing a brutal heatwave (90+ Fahrenheit) and the bus was just ridiculously hot. 2-Adrian was HORRIBLE. He ran ahead and my 70 year old Mom couldn’t keep up so we never received ANY information. There was NO time built in to explore the places we went. It was GO GO GO!!!! 3-Lunch was incredibly subpar. 4-the tour said 8.5 hours, we were back in about 7 and I’d of liked that extra 30 minutes to shop and explore a little. The places were in and of themselves amazing, but the tour was quite disappointing.

It was a fast paced tour but very well done. The guide was very friendly and acknowledgeable. The guide was always checking to make sure his guests were in the group and assisted the guests whom needed extra help. Highly recommend this tour.
" Interesting and enjoyable "

Great day - busy and packed full of interesting bits as advertised. For me, too rushed at the end for the Windmills ... we had 1 hour to walk to a windmill, listen to the explanation of the Millar and then get back to the coach for home again .... need longer - for me the lunch stop could have been cut by 30 minutes to give us more time at the end ... that was the only negative. Clog factory was fantastic!! Cheese museum good but the area where they do the demo under the sop is silly, you can't hear the explanation because of the noise from the shop.
" An amazing tour "

What a fantastic day, Alfredo our tour guide was wonderful and charming, so knowledgeable and entertaining, it was a pure joy to be on his tour. Him and the driver even offered to help people with their heavy shopping bags after cheese tasting so that they can enjoy their tour without the burden of carrying heavy bags around all day. I thought that was a very nice touch. Everything was very nicely organised and we did not feel rushed. I highly recommend this tour.
" Fantastic tour with some suggestions "

Yvette and Bert were both incredible! We loved every part of the tour. the sights were amazing, the lunch and food tasting was delicious, and the tour guide was fabulous. From the cheese museum to the shoe factory, everything built a beautiful picture of rural Netherlands. There were several aspects that could have been improved though: First, we only had an hour in the first windmill village, and I wish there could have been more time spent there. Second, I wish we could have had one whole Stroopwafel, rather than just a little piece. I would have also liked to know a little more about the award-winning Poffertjes place outside the Stroopwafel place. Third, the last stop was a little much. Walking through the village was cold and I wanted a hot drink. Also, we should have been told to bring coins for the bathrooms.

" Veru beautiful and interesting tour "

The 4 small villages are really pretty and worth a visit. My only complain is the little time spent at Zaanse Schans (windmills). We had to run for the windmill explanation and then we just had 30 minutes to walk around the entire village. We had to rush for the bus. Don't understand why -the tour could have 45min/1 hour more so that we wouldn't have to rush. Loved the cheese factory, Volendam is really pleasant. Lunch in Volendam was simple but tasty. I wish we had a little more time in the very cute little Edam as well, so that we could sit at a cafe and enjoy the place. But anyway I would recommend the tour for a friend.
" Splendid day, Like a Charm "

This was a good way to see Holland and it's culture. The villages that you visit are typical for Netherlands, this is culture! My family enjoyed the boat ride to Marken a lot and we liked to walk around in Volendam. We did not go inside the windmill but made nice pictures infront of them in Zaanse Schans open air museum town. It worth the price.
