Description

During this two hour tour you will cruise through the city of Amsterdam at night, a totally unique perspective. Enjoy some wine, cheese and other specialties while you are given information about some of our cities historic sights downtown. At night the city's bridges are illuminated as well as the canal side homes, sneak a peak at these lovely interiors, at this time of the day the residence have a special way of showing off their homes. 

 

Itinerary

This tour is a memorable experience for passengers. Soft music plays as you glide through the sparkling night time landscape of Amsterdam. On board we serve you a fine selection of wine, traditional Dutch cheeses and charcuterie.

I’ll start by saying the tour is as you would expect, a tour on the canal. Every now and again there would be an announcement about what certain buildings are, often witty which was great. However, we were sat at the back of the, table 13. We were sat with crates and glasses and with a wide open door to the outside ... and the toilet. We couldn’t really hear what the announcements were unless we listened VERY hard. There is no speaker at the back. The food... I mean... a few pieces of 2 different cheeses. Raw salami, and another tiny portion of “other” meat. A few bits and 6 pickles between 2. We went straight to McDonalds afterwards. So hungry! Personally, I wish we had done something else for the money. Polite staff etc... but not the experience I wanted for my girlfriends birthday.

Basically stuck me and my partner with another couple on a cramped table was not happy so complained the bloke outside the boat was very rude and unhelpful and insulting said no refund and just unluckie said he couldn’t do anything eventually one of the guys came off the boat and agreed to move another pair as they and a few other people had there own tables all in all the experience was good and we both enjoyed the cheese and unlimited alcohol the staff on the boat where very nice friendly and helpful I just think that being a lovers canal cruise it had a lot of groups that I didn’t want to be apart of and we should have been told we would have to share a table before hand as I would of paid more to have my own table on top of the 80 I already paid as wasn’t fair they had 3/4 other couple had there own table and 2 woman with there own table 3 Chiniese people ect ect

when you subscribe, non confirmation received. You must well print the summary of your trip. There is no indication about departure point. You have to search where and when this will happen. Take care, you will be in same table with other couple and then travel is not so magic. Hopefully, wine is good and waiters propose it very often. Captain and speaker were very plaisant and always ready to do their best to give a magical aspect of this travel. Many thanks to them !!!

This was a good evening the staff were lovely and took care of you. The only thing we found disappointing was they do not warn you, tables are shared with others so it is a candle lit cruise with others. Other than that it was an enjoyable evning

Very well worth the expense. The staff were really professional and made every effort to make the occasion memorable. The food is good and when they say ‘flowing wine’ they really mean it. The only thing I can criticise, even though it is no fault of the organisers or the staff is that it was a bit too noisy for a candlelight occasion. However I can only say one thing - Highly recommended.

Kitch mais très sympa. Une bien bonne soirée, le bateau pas surchargé par les organisateurs, chaque couple a sa grande table pour lui. Le vin chilien servi à volonté est bon. Juste une remarque : Sur le voucher Amsterdam City Tours il n'est mentionné que "Candle Light cruise" et pas le nom de la compagnie de bateaux qui organise. On est obligé de chercher qui est l'organisateur, à savoir LOVERS CANAL CRUISE.

Very romantic and relaxing, the weather was ideal and we had lots of fun as the tour guide was cheerful. The only thing i can comment abt was that the music was barely heard. Recommend it esp as a surprise to a significant one.

Had a wonderful time on the cruise. My only complaint was the audio, it was very hard to hear as we were at the back of the boat and had a group in front of us that was very noisy, which I realize is beyond your control. The view from the cruise gave a great perspective on the buildings and great info on the history and unique facts. Thank you so much.

The actual trip was lovely, seeing the sights at night was great. However the 'snacks' were disappointing and very limited. The wine wasn't great and we couldn't hear the tour guide for the noisy group behind us. This was a shame as we wanted to hear the information.

On finally locating p1 parking, the voucher should have shared that the tour was a LOVERS organised tour and not simply saying tickets obtained above P1 parking, we were very lost . Tour was good though.

The candlelight tour was fantastic. We had a good funny guide and the best personel on board it was great! The only regret I have is that we didn't order it with lovers directly because even now (a day after the event) i didn't get confirmation of booking. I'll never use this site again. But lovers can be sure to expect is again.
