Amsterdam is city on the water, and getting to know the city would not be full without the canal cruise through picturesque canals of Amsterdam. We will dive around the ring of canals with the luxurious mansions of 17 and 18 centuries, charming Jordaan warehouses, will come to the place where the seaport is used to be, but now there is a building of Central Station there. Next we go to the Eastern Docks where you can see a copy of famous ship of the East India Company. From there we will dock to the Amstel River, on which the city appeared in 13th century.

Itinerary

Getting to know the capital city of Netherlands, Amsterdam begins with the walking tour around historical center of the city. We will visit the central Dam square, where in the 13th century the first dam was built and gave the name to the city. We will learn the story of building a New Church and King Palace; we will also see the oldest shopping street of city – Kalverstraat. Walking down the old streets of town we will reach the Amsterdam Historical museum and the marvelous Beguinage - Former women's commune. After that we will move to the Spau square, the center of political protests of 60s. We will see the main decorations of Amsterdam – the ring of canals and the houses of rich patricians built on these canals. Will visit the famous flowers market, where you will be able to enjoy the huge variety of tulips – the most popular flowers in Amsterdam. You will learn the way the houses were built in Amsterdam. You will walk through the street with antique shops, which are full of antique items. Eventually we will find the former border of city, where the biggest museum of town is located, the Rijksmuseum. Through the museum we leave the historical center and pass to the Museum Square – the cultural center of city. It is exactly the place where the Stedelijk and Van-Gogh museums, Koncerthebau, Gassan diamond factory are located.
