The Ghost Walk of Amsterdam - Meet the Real Dark Side of Amsterdam

5 out of 5 stars (3 reviews)

An evening of Amsterdam’s best ghost stories, myths and legends.

The haunting beauty of Amsterdam at night with its narrow alleys, hidden streets and deep, dark canals.

And perhaps the occasional tingle of fear running up and down your back.

Join our Ghost Walker as he leads you through the darkest history of Amsterdam. A walking tour past haunted houses, witch burnings and encounters with the devil. The walk is conducted by an experienced guide, well acquainted with the history of his city and its ghostly sites. Through the ancient art of storytelling he will take you back in time and make you relive those days when ghosts and demons still roamed the town.

Perhaps he will tell you the tale of the devout nun Cornelia who returned from the grave to haunt her sisters. Or about Black Matthew, the outlaw who made a deal with the devil. Or perhaps about the monk Aloysius who lived a depraved and treacherous life in 16th century Amsterdam. It is told that his ghost is still hidden somewhere in a house on the canal, always searching for his head.

All the stories on the tour are authentic, historical and original. Scary and educational but most of all a fun night out.

Good night’s sleep after the tour not guaranteed.

" Spine tingling tour "

Bart is an amazing storyteller. We have been on several ghost tours and he is one of the best in terms of creating drama and suspense in his delivery. The tour had some spooky moments that had me feeling like someone was right behind me! My 13 year old loved it. The tour was a great way to experience the city early in our trip.
" Spannend! "
4 out of 5 stars
In één woord: SUPER!

Our guide Bart was really informative and theatrical in his storytelling-tour, really enjoyed it! It's not heavy nor super scary, but be prepared for some nice/creepy stories... :-)
